Bargaining Update – December 11 & 12

Sparrow Hospital and the Professional Employee Council of Sparrow Hospital (PECSH)-Michigan Nurses Association (MNA) met Monday and Tuesday, for their 39th and 40th bargaining sessions since negotiations began on August 22. The current PECSH-MNA contract expired on October 30.  Sparrow Hospital’s latest comprehensive economic package proposal was made on November 21 and contained significant changes in an effort to achieve a new contract.

The current PECSH-MNA contract expired on October 30. At yesterday’s session, Sparrow presented its third comprehensive economic package proposal, which includes several modifications that Sparrow is making in an effort to work towards attaining a new contract.
